Factory Girl introduced digital menus early on. Each dish comes with a photo, so guests already know what they want when the server arrives. That shortens waiting times and speeds up service. “People expect tools that are simple,” Erhan notes. Sofia agrees, “No one wants to scroll through long menu descriptions. The most intuitive access wins.”
With luca Pay, the process is even smoother. Guests handle the bill themselves, tap to tip, get up, and leave—no waiting, no hassle.
Since rolling out luca Pay, the team has seen a clear uptick in tips. “Having tipping built right into the luca app really helps our staff,” Erhan says. “And that’s good for everyone.”
Sofia and Erhan also focus on social impact. They donate one percent of profits to companies developing climate-friendly technology. Slightly chipped plates aren’t thrown away; students can take them home for a small donation. “The feedback from young people is overwhelming,” Sofia smiles. “That makes me happy.”
